Short Information

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has released the Preliminary Eligibility Test PET 2026 notification under Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026. Candidates who have passed High School or an equivalent examination can apply online from 03 August 2026 to 01 September 2026. Fee reconciliation and permitted application corrections can be completed up to 08 September 2026. The PET score will remain valid for three years from the date on which the result is declared or uploaded by the Commission and will be used for shortlisting candidates for future UPSSSC Group C Main Examinations.

Important Information

  • One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before applying for UPSSSC PET 2026.
  • Candidates must complete or update their OTR details before starting the PET 2026 application.
  • After obtaining the PET 2026 registration number, candidates will not be able to change the details locked in OTR and the PET application form except through the permitted correction facility.
  • Candidates who completed OTR using the PET 2025 registration number will have their name, date of birth and mobile number treated as non-editable.
  • Newly registered OTR candidates will have their mobile number treated as non-editable.
  • Candidates must submit only one online application for PET 2026.
  • If more than one application is submitted, only the last finally submitted application will be accepted and the remaining applications will be treated as cancelled.
  • PET is mandatory for candidates seeking consideration for future UPSSSC recruitments covered by the two-tier examination system.

How to Apply

  1. Open the official UPSSSC website.
  2. Complete the One Time Registration process before applying for PET 2026.
  3. Log in using the OTR Number or the mobile number registered with OTR.
  4. Verify the login through OTP and Verification Code.
  5. Open the PET 2026 application under Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026.
  6. Check the personal and educational details automatically fetched from OTR.
  7. Enter the remaining required details, including category, EWS status, Uttar Pradesh Government employee status, Ex-Servicemen details, sportsperson details, disability category and age-relaxation claims.
  8. Read the declaration carefully and submit the registration form.
  9. Save the 11-digit PET 2026 Registration Number shown on the Registration Slip.
  10. Click Proceed for Payment and pay the applicable examination fee.
  11. Wait for successful payment confirmation and complete fee reconciliation when required.
  12. Download and print the final detailed application form.
  13. Check every entry carefully and use the permitted correction facility before 08 September 2026 when necessary.
